Men and women often do things in different ways. Scientists are curious to know the reasons. Through some research on the human brain, they’ve discovered some interesting facts.
Generally, women’s brains make them notice and remember details (细节) more easily. They are more likely to think back to the smell in a room, the sound of a song, or the little things they see during the day. For example, a woman might easily remember what her friend wore last week. However, men’s brains are more focused on the task at hand. A man will pay more attention to a single job until it’s fully finished. He might work on fixing a car without being influenced by other things.
These different thinking patterns also influence how they view their lives. Women usually see all sides of their lives as connected. If they have a bad day at work, it might influence their mood at home. However, men usually see each part of their lives, like work, hobbies, and family, as separate (独立的) pieces.
In a team, men and women contribute (贡献) differently. Women are more likely to share ideas and build good relationships among team members. Men, on the other hand, prefer to arrange tasks and make everyone work effectively (有效地).
Although men and women have their differences, both ways of thinking are important. They help us solve different problems and answer all kinds of questions in life.

C.We need both men’s and women’s ways of thinking to live better.

In families with many children, the oldest, middle and youngest children are often very different. Studies show that many first-born children are more hard-working and more serious than their brothers and sisters. 1 . They work hard to please their parents.
The youngest is always the parents’ “baby”, so the youngest is usually more outgoing and funnier than the other children. The youngest child is also usually the most spoiled (惯坏的) of all the children in the family. There is a common joke that all salespeople are the youngest in their families, 2 .
3 . Many middle children are good at making peace between people, because they have to learn how to live with the very different personalities of the youngest and the oldest. Middle children sometimes feel unhappy, because they feel that the hard-working oldest child and the outgoing youngest child get most of their parents’ attention. 4 , because they are used to thinking for themselves and choosing their own way.

Sherlock Holmes was an INTP. Ernest Hemingway was an ESTP. Michael Jackson was an ISFP…
What do these four-lettered words mean Well, if you have heard of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), you might know them. With 93 questions, the test groups all of the different people in the world into 16 personality tests in the world, but the MBTI is perhaps the most popular one. More than 1.5 million people take it every year.
However, the MBTI is not an accurate (精准的) way to find something as changeable as a person’s personality. Its creators, Katharine Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs-Myers, were not trained psychologists (心理学家). What’s more, the two were unable to scientifically prove (证明) their findings.
Then how has this test become so popular To answer this question, we need to find out what drove Briggs and Briggs-Myers to create it. Briggs was a mother. After reading Carl Jung’s Psychological Types, she decided to create a tool to help parents understand their children’s interests. Briggs-Myers continued to work on the MBTI in the 1940s. Traditional personality tests would divide people into two simple groups: those who were good and those who were bad. The woman wanted everyone to be able to understand her test, while people may be different from one another, they are all created equal (生而平等). This perhaps holds the key to the MBTI’s success: The test never judges personalities negatively (负面地).
The MBTI may not be the best way for checking one’s personality, but this doesn’t mean it’s totally useless. Many people are hungry for self-knowledge. The MBTI just offers that knowledge in a painless way.
1.According to the MBTI, how many personality types are there in the world
2.What was the relationship between the two creators of the MBTI
3.Why did Katharine Briggs decide to create the MBTI
4.What’s the key to the MBTI’s success
5.In your opinion, how can MBTI help us in our daily life

How to have good friends Here are some tips for you.
Choosing Friends
Before you make friends, you have to decide who you want to be your friends. Most people like to have friends with the same interests. But that doesn’t mean you have to be like each other. It’s OK if you enjoy some of the same things.
Making Friends
●The quickest way to make friends is to smile. Remember that most people hate an angry face.
●One easy way to start a conversation with someone is to say something nice. For example, you could talk about a great answer to a teacher’s question and so on.
● Ask your new friends questions about themselves. “Who’s your favourite singer Where do you live What do you do after school ” are all good questions.
Having Activities Together
It’s always fun to play your favourite activities with your friends together. For example, inviting a friend to your house is a great way to make your friendship closer. Make sure the activities can be done together. You may both love playing computer games, but if one person is playing and the other has nothing to do but watch, that will be boring.
Friendship is an important part in our life, for friends make us happy and support us through hard times. If you are still waiting for your “friends”, start with the tips above.
1.What kind of friends do most people want to have
2.What is the quickest way to make friends
3.How many ways of making friends are mentioned in the passage
4.How can you make the friendship between you and your friend closer
5.Why is friendship an important part in our life
