We have to accept the truth: Sometimes, we just want to shout out loud.
For example, we all have days like this: our dog has made a mess on the floor we just cleaned, or our friend called to tell us he or she couldn’t come at the last minute when we had cooked dinner for him or her. We might be really angry but we tried to bear things like those. According to ancient Chinese wisdom(至理名言), we should shout in a loud voice instead of keeping quiet. In fact, it’s good for our health.
“Chinese people have passed on the practice from ancient times to now as a part of traditional medicine,” said Mrs. Li, a 60-year-old woman from Hangzhou. “My parents taught me to do this. It’s a part of our folk culture.”
Mrs. Li is a member of a group of people who love shouting. Each morning, she and some of her friends climb to the top of a hill and let out loud shouts before starting their daily exercise. They believe that shouting is good exercise for their lungs and it brings them a lot of fun.
“Sometimes I shout out and others shout back,” said Mrs. Gu, another shouting lover. “It makes you happy. You laugh and then you feel very comfortable.”
Dr. Peter Calafiura, an American doctor, agrees that shouting can have a positive influence(影响)on people’s health.
So, next time you start your morning run, why not try to shout out first It will make you healthier.

It’s common that parents and children disagree with each other. That’s what we call conflicts (冲突). Some of the conflicts are small and easy to end. Others may need parents to take action and help. To someone’s surprise, by solving them together, family conflicts can help children learn important life skills.
Some simple childhood games show how conflict and repair work. For example, in peek-a-boo, a baby might feel a little unhappy and worried when he can’t see his parent. But when the parent returns, everything is OK. As children grow older, they play games like hide and seek or tag. There are small moments of upset followed by great fun and joy. These games help children prepare for all kinds of problems in the future.
As children grow up, they develop their life skills by working through conflicts. When a conflict is too serious for a child, parents may step in. To set a good example, parents could try to remain cool first—don’t be too excited or angry. Next, they can say some kind and nice things to make children feel better. Now here comes the chance for parents and children to sit down. Then they can have a face-to-face communication. This helps them rebuild the love and trust for each other. In this way, children learn that sometimes things go wrong. But if they deal with them properly, they can always rebuild healthy and strong relationships with others.
A healthy process of going through conflict and repair with their parents promises children’s happiness and social success in the future.
19. Why are family conflicts helpful according to Paragraph 1
A. Because they can help parents learn. B. Because they can teach children skills.
C. Because they can solve parents’ problems. D. Because they can bring family to an agreement.
20. How does the writer tell the conflict and repair work in Paragraph 2
A. By telling stories. B. By showing facts. C. By listing numbers. D. By giving examples.
21. What do parents do first when children can’t solve conflicts
A. Walk with them. B. Make children happy.
C. Say nice words. D. Cool themselves down.
22. What can be the best title for the text
A. The Lessons in Daily Life B. The Life Skills in the Future
C. The Art of Conflict and Repair D. The Fun of Simple Games

A “hot shot” is a person —often a young person—who thinks he can do anything. At least he wants to try. He is very sure he can succeed. But often he fails.
Hot is a word that is often used to talk about anger. An angry person’s neck often becomes red. We say he is hot under the collar(衣领). And a person often acts too quickly, without thinking of what might happen. He is called a hothead.

As Earth’s neighbor, Mars has a similar environment to Earth. For years, humans are exploring the Red Planet and hope to live on it one day. On July 23, 2020, China launched its first Mars probe (探测器). It is called Tianwen-1. The name comes from the poem Tianwen.
Qu Yuan, a famous poet of the Warring States Period wrote it. The probe landed on the surface (表面) of Mars on May 15 this year. China is the second country in the world to make it. It was a great success.
A probe has to fly a very long way before landing on Mars. Because the signal from Earth is weak, the lander has to land by itself. “Each step had only one chance. If there was any mistake, the landing would fail.” Geng Yan, an official from the China National Space Administration said.
The Mars probe has three parts — the orbiter, the lander and the rover (火星车).
Within a week after the landing, the Mars rover, Zhurong, will begin working. Zhurong is named after the god of fire in ancient Chinese stories. It is the sixth rover on Mars, following five others launched by the United States. If everything goes well, Zhurong will work for at least three months and carry out scientific studies on Mars like taking pictures and videos of Mars, finding out if there is any water or ice under the surface of Mars and checking the temperature or climate on it.
“A larger probe will set off for the planet sometime around 2030 to take samples and return them to Earth.” a CNSA officials said.

Social phobia (社恐) has appeared and been discussed for many years. People with social phobia always feel unhappy and not comfortable when talking with others.
The development of the Internet makes the MBTI test very popular. Many people take this test to see what they are like. According to the test, there are mainly two kinds of people—the extroverted (外向的) and the introverted (内向的). Extroverted people enjoy making friends with others, while those who are introverted like to be alone.
However, many people cannot find the differences between being introverted and social phobia. In fact, it’s difficult for introverted people to become extroverted. Introverted people are not afraid of talking with others. They just like to stay alone to think more carefully. In this way, they can solve problems better.
But social phobia is very different. It is hard to change because it is a kind of mental (精神的) illness and needs a special treatment (治疗). Even those who are extroverted can have social phobia. Some people say they have social phobia in order to get their own space sometimes. But we should treat (对待) social phobia properly. Sometimes social phobia is not good for our development. Just imagine that if a student refuses to answer teachers’ questions because of social phobia, he will not improve his grades and learn some useful things in the long term.
