I remember that the organizer was holding a large event that day. In Guangzhou, where people gathered, there were often many foreigners attending the event. In order to make it easier to communicate with them, understand their needs and help them to find the correct address, more university students were needed to volunteer to communicate with them. As an enthusiastic person who likes to help people without expecting anything in return, I signed up as a volunteer. After my application was approved, I started my work with full confidence.

I thought he was tired, so I told him to go straight to a drink store, on the right of which was the restroom. After receiving the answer, the foreigner politely said “Thank you” and had a little smile on his face.
At first, I was happy, but then I was confused when I heard another of my volunteer colleagues giving a different direction for the restroom. As we walked down the street, I asked her why she was pointing to the toilet. She said “restroom” was “toilet” and I realized that I had given the foreigner the wrong direction. I wondered what happened to the foreigner.
