“Most people have a 24-hour body clock. 38 But for people with delayed sleep disorder, it takes longer to complete the 24-hour body clock. So they usually go to bed later and wake up later,” Lack told the Daily Mail.
A slower body clock influences up to 15% of teenagers, according to the Daily Mail. 39 Even though they do get to school, they' re sleepy until their body clock wakes up.
Don't worry! 40 Body clocks can be changed by environment, such as light. Make sure you' re exposed(使暴露) to bright lights as early in the day as possible. It is a message to tell the body that it should be awake.
Also, stay away from the Internet and television for at least an hour before your bedtime. It helps you to relax before you fall asleep.
