We can see circles, squares and triangles everywhere in our daily life. Have you thought about their meanings in films Much like colors, different shapes can show different features of characters in the scenes.
Circles represent things that are soft and natural. The round shape reminds us of things that appear in nature, like the sun, raindrops and so on. We can also connect circles with beautiful eyes, babies'round faces……All these things make us feel happy and warm. This is why so many cartoon characters’bodies——heroes, good people——are round in shape, because circles represent goodness, happiness and friendliness.
Squares show things that are unnatural or man-made, or things that are boring or old-fashioned. In the cartoon film Up, Carl has a square face and wears square glasses, while Russell, an 8-year-old boy with a round face, always wears round medals. These shapes show the characters' personalities.Carl is stubborn(固执的) and lonely, while Russell is lovely and full of energy.
The angriest shape is the triangle. Every kid who draws a monster with sharp teeth draws a row of triangles, don't they That's because the shape represents fear, distrust and doubt in some way. Look at the bad guys in cartoons—they are all drawn with plenty of points and triangles, like Shengongbao in Ne Zha. And triangles are stable(稳固的) and don't easily fall down. In films, this feature makes bad people difficult to deal with.
Not only in cartoons, but also in other kinds of films, different shapes are used for the same purpose. So, try to find the hidden shapes and you will know what the characters are like.
44. How does the writer explain the relationship between squares and characters'personalities
A. By telling a story. B. By listing numbers.
C. By raising a question. D. By giving an example.
45. Which picture does the underlined word”triangle”refer to
46. Which of the following is the structure of the article (①=Para 1,②=Para 2……)
Seagrass, an underwater plant that grows on the ocean floor, is very important for sea life. It also helps prevent global warming by storing carbon, a harmful gas. However, scientists don't know exactly how much seagrass is at the bottom of the ocean. With the help of tiger sharks, a team of researchers has discovered the world's largest seagrass meadow(grassland) on theseafloor near the Bahamas.
Seagrass meadows are home to many different kinds of fish, shellfish, and so on. Large sea animals, such as sharks, also spend a lot of time there looking for food. Seagrass can grow in very deep and dark waters, making it difficult to find. But sharks can dive deep into the water and get to the areas people cannot reach.
After noticing tiger sharks swimming through seagrass off the Bahamas, an American scientist worked with a seagrass expert(专家), trying to map the locations of the plants. The researchers fitted seven tiger sharks with cameras. Since tiger sharks swim in groups, they placed satellite tracking tags(卫星跟踪器) on eight other sharks to find out exactly where the animals swam. They gathered hours of videos of the tiger sharks swimming through seagrass.
The researchers found more seagrass growing near the Bahamas than they expected— in fact, they believe that there is more seagrass there than anywhere else on Earth. The new finding increased the total number of seagrass known to exist by 41%. However, more research is needed to discover the true size of the seagrass meadow.
Scientists often depend on findings from divers(潜水员) and boats to study about the underwater world, but this team found that working with animals improved their understanding. They are now placing cameras on sea turtles to study seagrass in the Red Sea. Hopefully, more mysteries about seagrass will be solved.
47. Why is seagrass difficult to find under the water
A. Seagrass is too small to be seen. B. It grows in very deep dark areas.
C. It's difficult to reach the bottom of the sea. D. Tiger sharks almost eat it all up.
48. What is Para 3 mainly about
A. The reason for the research. B. The method to do the research.
C. The discovery of the research. D. The scientists of the research.
49. How will scientists work out mysteries about seagrass
A. By hiring more divers and boats. B. By using better cameras.
C. By having discussions with seagrass experts. D. By working with animals.
50. The article is written to .
A. show a special project on global warming B. express the features of sea animals
C. share a new way of doing undersea research D. tell the importance of seagrass

Many students have problems with grammar, speaking or writing when preparing for tests, but vocabulary(词汇) is the most common one. Maybe we can make it if we can get some new ways to memorize new words. One way you can have a try is“structured reviewing”.
Structured reviewing means continuous(持续的) reviewing of what we have learned in order to better understand it. We all agree that people forget information they have learned if they don't review it in time.
Chart of Steps of“Structured Reviewing”
Memorize five sentences with new words→ 82 →Review them once a day for 5days→ Review them once a week→Review them once a month
Learn five new words every day. We can learn five different sentences with a new word in each sentence. On the first day in the early morning, we can write them down a few times while reading them aloud so that we can memorize them.
Moreover, we need to review them six times a day, including after the first lesson, after lunch at the school and after dinner.
On the second day in the early morning, we get over the first day's sentences. Then we learn five new sentences with five new words just as we did the day before.
For each day's sentences, after we have reviewed them for five continued days, we just need to review them once a week. Then once a month.
Through this method, we store them in our long-term memory and will never forget them.
Result of using this method
I used to hate new English words. I became even angry when I lost points because of the words. But there was no use——new words couldn't be avoided. So, I. changed my ways of memorizing the words. Now I review them in time. It seems to work well.---Frank
Many of us usually learn words separately and silently from the word list in our textbook,so we often write sentences with mistakes. We should make up our own sentences with new words and read them aloud. In this way, we can remember the new words better.
根据短文内容回答下列问题(每题答案不超过6个单词)
81. What is the most common problem when students prepare for tests

Good afternoon, everyone! I’m Jack Brown. It’s really exciting to be here to talk about my writing. I’ve been writing stories since I was eight years old. My parents always read to me and I learned to read myself when I was four. I started inventing stories to read to my friend and he loved them. Then I sent one into a competition because my teacher suggested it. I won second prize and my story appeared in a magazine. I was so proud. People ask me where I usually write. I used to write in the library but these days I write in my study. Another question is about where my ideas for stories come from. Some writers keep a notebook where they write down interesting things they see or hear about. But my notebook is never with me when I want it. So I have notes on my phone. That’s usually with me. Now are there any questions
