1.happen的用法
happen 指偶然、没有预料地发生
take place 事先规划好的，通常指活动、表演、庆典等等按照计划发生。
happen和 take place共同点
(1)都是不及物动词(词组)，不能用于被动语态。
(2)二者都是非延续性动词(词组)，都不能与表示时间段的时间状语连用。
2.expect的用法
1. expect+名词/代词，意为“期待某物/人;预计……可能发生”
2. expect to do sth意为“期待做某事”
3. expect sb to do sth意为“期望某人做某事”
3.be able to 的用法
be able to 表示“能够做某事，它和can 的意思一样，在用法上有一些不同，具体如下：
1. can则强调自身已具有的能力。
be able to 强调通过努力而获得的能力，
2. can 可用于表示可能，推测，允许等，而be able to不能这样用。
3. can只有一般现在和一般过去两种时态, 而be able to 可以使用许多时态。
4. be able to 前可有其它情态动词。
4.make sure 的用法
make sure表示尽力做到，深信，务必等含义
make sure of 的意思是“ 确保、确保、 弄清楚” ,后接名词或相当于名词的词。
be sure of/about + 名词，代词，动名词 意为确信，对…有把握, 表示对客观事物有肯定的认识和判断,主语必须是人。
5.表示职业的词汇的构词规则
动词加“-er-or”为主动，加“-ee”为被动. examiner主考人、监考员examinee参加考试者、受试人
-ist:多数情况下表示事业有成就或较为特殊的人.artist艺术家scientist科学家
-ician指熟悉.……人 electrician(电工) mathematician(数学家)
