Do you know plants can communicate with each other In many people’s eyes, plants are quiet. They can’t talk. They can’t walk. And they can’t think like us.
But is this really true A TV show, The Green Planet, gives us a new look at plants. Shown on Bilibili, it tells the lives of plants, and the wonderful and unbelievable ways that plants work.
Plants contend against each other to live. In the rainforests, different kinds of plans race for sunlight. The forest floor is described as a “battlefield”. Only two percent of the sunlight gets through it. Some plants spread (扩展) their big leaves to reach light. But other plants may catch them up and get a lift. Finally, they are both overtaken (超过) by a fast-growing tree. In the same way, some trees may give out something to protect themselves.
Plants also help each other and even communicate. In deserts, if a tree finds water, it will share it with others. Studies also show that plants use fungus (真菌) in the soil as a way to “talk” to each other. Its kind of like how Wi-Fi works. If a tomato plant gets ill, it can tell closer plants about it.
The TV show not only makes us amazed at the plant world but also pushes us to understand that plants are important. Just as David, the director (导演) of the show says, “All life depends on plants. We depend on them to eat and breathe (呼吸).” It’s time to look after wild plants just as carefully as our houseplants.

C.How plants help each other. D.Why plants talk to each other.

A.Pants are hard to research. B.Indoor plants need more care.
C.Many wild plants are endangered. D.Plans play a big role in our lives.
( )70.What’s the best title for the text
A.Amazing Plants B.Plants Never Talk
C.Let’s Grow Plants D.Plants Are Different
第二节 阅读表达(共5题;每题2分,满分10分)
阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
Imagine you are walking through deep snow. As you walk, you leave marks where you’ve been. That’s what happens when we use technology, such as computers, mobile phones and tables. We leave our digital footprint (数字足迹) and it will never disappear.
Here are reasons why your digital footprint is important to you.
It may influence how others see you.
Even if you think you have nothing to hide, but if people get information about you, they might judge (评判) you by the information you have let online. For example, you tell a bad joke online. Years later, when the university you are applying (申请) to sees it, they might not think it’s funny. They may decide you are not the “right” kind of person for them. Future teachers could also search for your online history.
It may leak your personal information.
Not everything can be shared with everyone. For example, you might share your school reports with your parents, but don’t want your e-friends to know. If you share them on the Internet, everyone will know. Once posted, it’s hard to cut out. So, always share less personal information online to stay safe.
You may lose your money because of it.
There are many people looking at information about you, and some of them want to steal from you. So if you write bank information or card numbers in e-mails or text messages, you may lose your money.
Remember: No one can go online without leaving his digital footprint—but with care, you can control (控制) it. Think before you post, and ask yourself, “Would I want everyone to see this ”

Protect the Earth and Love Animals
Good morning, everyone! Today I am very happy to be here to give a talk about protecting the earth and loving animals.
Now, our earth is in trouble. There is much pollution, many trees are cut down, and some wild animals are killed.
We should take action. We can plant more trees to keep the air clean and care for animals around us.
In my opinion, we share the same home with nature. It's important to live in harmony with animals. Let's work together to make our home better!
