Gina Posted at 9:28 a.m. on 29 Oct. 2021 Good points! I’m talking about only the oldest clothing in your room — the clothes that are too old to be worn by others. I am sure you know the story of the turtle and the rabbit. It taught people many lessons. One of these lessons is that people who have all the advantages (the fast—jumping rabbit) can be beaten by those who have nothing but inner(内心的) strength (the slow turtle).
It is true that the race of life, just like the one between the rabbit and the turtle, is often unfair. Some kids have all the luck. They were born healthy and their parents are rich. These kids wear nice clothes and they always have much money to spend on anything they like. Many other kids, however, have none of these things. Some of them were even born with disabilities. They have to depend on their inner strength alone.
While many people believe the “rabbits” are always successful, this is not true. In fact, the “turtles”—kids from poor families—have some of the most important things for success. They are humble(谦逊的) and determined(有决心的). They march forward slowly but with great inner strength.
A student from Tsinghua University shared his personal experience online. Instead of having fun with his classmates outside, he chose to get a part—time job and study hard. He knew there would be plenty of time for fun once he had overcome all of the difficulties. His story may have encouraged “turtles”. The race of life is long. Even if you get off to a slow start, you can easily catch up if you make a decision to do so.
( )44. What can we learn from the story of the turtle and the rabbit
A. One who fears nothing can succeed easily.
B. One who has advantages can succeed.
C. One who has inner strength can get successful finally.

A. all the people have different dreams
B. people are treated differently in life
C. not everyone’s starting point is the same

( )47. What’s the purpose of the passage
A. To show us the power of inner strength
B. To tell us how to succeed quickly.
C. To advise us to try new things.

Successful people always have a dream. They dream big dreams and then show great courage(勇气) to do things that others say cannot be done.
Your dream is the mother of success. Many people have long forgotten the dreams they used to have when they were kids. As they grow older, they are simply to catch up with their work activities so that they fail to discover what they really want in life.
To get you back on your dreams, follow these steps:
Learn to dream again: We are born to dream. But we hear of teachers calling in school: “Stop dreaming and pay attention in class!” Parents, too, have shouted, “Stop dreaming and get on with your homework!” In the end, many do get “realistic(真实的)” and give up their dreams in time.
Dream big dreams: Dreams are free anyway as long as you are dreaming, you might as well dream big. Many people cannot realize(实现) their dreams and achieve greater success because they limit(限制) their own beliefs.
Flee(逃离) from dream killers: Dream killers are destructive(破坏性的) to your success. Your friends, colleagues(同事) and even loved ones can be one of your dream killers. There are people who will try to change, confuse or persuade(说服) you to build the life they want, not the life that you want.
Take action immediately: 58. Once you have big and clear dreams, take immediate action to make them come true. Weeks later, the passion(激情) will grow cold and months later, that passion may be gone forever.
