Sadly though, some penguins were too sick to travel, and some were dying. The scientists took the healthy birds and put them on a large aircraft. They flew to the south coast of Brazil. Many people came to see the birds. But at first, the birds just looked at the water. Then, some of the braver ones swam about in it. It was cold! It was good!

A small bee flying from flower to flower is very important to the world. Bees pollinate (对……授粉) the crops and help them grow.
Now billions of bees all over the world are dying, and no one really knows why. This is a disaster (灾难) for the world. Many things would change without bees.
Thousands of bees have flown away from their hives and disappeared.
Scientists and beekeepers are trying to solve the mystery (谜) of the disappearing bees.
Some scientists have examined dead bees. They have found that the bees are not very healthy at all. Scientists think that one reason bees are dying is because of mites. Mites are tiny insects that cling onto bees. The mites can make the bees get sick and die. Mites can destroy a whole beehive. Some scientists think that bees are disappearing because they have been poisoned (中毒). Farmers spray their crops to kill insects that are eating the plants. These sprays can make bees sick. Bees also may not be getting enough food to stay strong. Climate change might mean the flowers open before the bees have woken from their winter sleep. Then the bees don’t get that nectar (花蜜) and pollen that they need.
It’s very hard for scientists to find out why bees are dying all over the world. Most bees die away from their hives. So scientists don’t have a dead body to look at for clues.
It is very important for scientists to learn about how healthy bees are.

But elephants are in great danger. People cut down many trees so elephants are losing their homes. People also kill elephants for their ivory.
